Stupid musical statements that you can't fathom

I've had that happen to me before. To some it's mind boggling that I like both Emo AND Black Metal, as if I NEED to be either a metal head, or Emo kid. You just can't do both. That defies cliques. And we just can't have that.

Here in America I think I'd be hard pressed to find someone who even knows what I mean by jangle pop.

To be fair, she misheard me.
We have a terrible reality TV show called I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, a bunch of worn out celebrities in a jungle surviving on nothing and doing trials etc.
Johnny Marr is a Manc, Shaun Ryder is a Manc so it wasn't stupid, it just amused me.
Though she had no idea what I meant by Jangle Pop, but I wouldn't expect her to.
It still tickled me. I would've thought people in American would've known, R.E.M are massive.

See, over here in America, R.E.M are a staple of the radio, but they're classified as Alternative, usually. I've never heard of the term "Jangle Pop" before.

And "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here" airs here too, I think... I've seen commercials for it. Just incase you'll ever need to know.
