Just remembered a good one... Okay, so I love to randomly break into freestyle rap even though I can't freestyle rap for my life... I was just letting loose raping (or more like talking in rhyme) when I got into this conversation.

Friend: Dude, you suck, it sounds like you're talking.
Me: Hey, there are rappers who's written material sounds worse than my freestyling
Friend: Like 2Pac?

I can totally fathom the fact that 2Pac sucks.

What a brilliant juxtaposition of norms.
Also I bet they drove a pick-up truck.

If he'd said Gorgoroth, Dimmu Borgir, or some other Black Metal band, then it'd be ironic (still not stupid). Although if all that was said was:

"Man, I really love Slipknot. They're like my favorite band!"

then I'd totally get it.

EDIT: See now it's already been discussed. I'm late to this party. Well, I guess I'll be over at the punch bowl if anyone needs me. Deuces.

If he had mentioned a black metal band instead of Slipknot it might have made more sense actually. He might have been going to torch the church.

Continuing the Emo and Slipknot discussions. I used to have a friend who listened to rave and knew literally nothing about other types of music. A group of people in our school who hang about near the bathrooms he refers to as "the emos". A friend of ours started dating one of these people.

Him: Martin's going to be an emo now you know. Next we know he'll be wearing black and listening to emo music
Me: What exactly do you classify as emo music?
Him: Heavy Metal and all that ****. Slipknot and stuff. *does an annoying generic slipknot growl thing"
Me: But that's Metal....not Emo
Him: But Emos listen to it, so it's Emo
Me: But if they don't listen to emo, how are they emos?
Him: Because they slit their wrists and like heavy metal
