I love a lot doom-type stuff actually, it's one of my favorite types of metal. I just tend to listen to bands that don't have the real bombastic vocals. Some favorites:

Warhorse (the American one)
Boris
Electric Wizard
Sleep
Sons of Otis
Ultraphallus
Weedeater
