Albums You Hate By Bands You Love
Here`s 5 of mine....
1. The Cure - Wish http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov...68463yr7qp.jpg The Cure pander to their new found American audience by making the safest , blandest record of their career ,and sure enough they lap it up & it sells by the millions..... ****ing awful. 2. Alice Cooper - Lace & Whiskey http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov...7717796j3l.jpg Alice attempts to become a 50s style crooner , and falls flat on his arse. I can count how many times i`ve listened to my Alice Cooper albums to the nearest thousand , this one i`ve listened to twice. Both times it never even made it halfway through before being thrown off the stereo & made to gather dust on the shelf. And if thats not bad enough here`s 2 words that`ll put you off even more ....'concept album' 3. Blur - Think Tank http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov...85919k5s44.jpg Memo to Damon Albarn 1. Stop being such a miserable git 2. Pull your head out of your arse 3. Bring back Graham Coxon 4. Stop trying my patience releasing utter garbage like this 4. REM - Around The Sun http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov...49811zh2ls.jpg Around the bottom of my CD collection 5. Massive Attack - 100th Window / Danny The Dog OST (I would have pictures here but it only lets you post 4 grrr) Massive Attack albums are like busses , you wait ages for one & then 2 come along all at once.Sadly it seems somebody pissed in the back seat in both. |
radiohead- pablo honey. not a good indication of things to come, bar creep its all filler and no killer.
led zeppelin- in through the outdoor. a decline in the standards set, this is the sound of a band nearing the end. pavement- terror twilight. just really bad. the difference in creativity and quality between this and brighten the corners is quite profound beck- midnight vultures. his attempts at the american pre hip-hop urban music style free falls into oblivion. steer clear. stone roses- second coming. not a fan of this album. with exception to ten storey love song, theres not one track that stands out to me. pretty boring. |

we agree on the atrocity of it then. good return to form with guero though.

1.Green Day's cover album..that sucked! and I guess, Nirvana's Muddy Banks of the whishka I'm sure if I try really hard, I can think of more..... |

I take it back, I do. Bands I love who made albums I hate: 1. Oasis - Standing on the Shoulders of Giants - Okay, I don't love them anymore but this album was bad enough to sever our relationship. Obviously if they're returned with something better it may have been salvaged, but alas. 2. Blur - Think Tank - Urban has covered this so you get the picture. 3. Garbage - Beautiful Garbage - There's nothing beautiful about this sugary pop pish. I want the real Garbage back. 4. Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyse - Typical radio friendly stoner rock. Since when have Queens of the Stone Age ever made typical music. Get a grip. Please. 5. Pulp - We Love Life - It pains me to diss Pulp. Zany idea, and it amused, but it didn't capture... I don't actually listen to it, it just sits there looking green and pretty. Decent enough background music but that's never been what Pulp are about, they're supposed to make you stand up and take notice. |

shame the rest of it is so bad |

Sehnsucht by rammstein aint as much as hate it but its not very good
robbin' the hood by sublime mezmerize and a fair bit of steal this album by system of a down pinkerton by weezer and theres probly more |
I would rather (insert typical bad thing) than listen to Thing-Fish by Frank Zappa, and I really, really like Zappa.
I have the poster of him taking a **** on my wall. |
The last Stones album... I can't even remember its title... It was incredibly bad.

Green Day's Insomniac. I dunno why, I just don't like it the much.
Treble Charger's Detox. I liked it, but it all sounds the same and it gets really boring really quickly. Can't think of anymore right now.. |

Yeah but i`m one of them
I think anyone who loves the Stones as much as I do is deluding themselves if they think otherwise |
Rise Up by Bad Brains... It's gross...
The 2nd most recent Weezer album (it's so **** I forgot the name), they went downhill (or fell off a cliff?) after the green album. By The Way by the Chili's, Uplift Mofo isn't too good either... I'm sure there are more, but eh.. That's enough. *edit* I loved Pablo Honey (apart from creep, that song makes me sick), maybe because it was the first ever Radiohead album I bought, and I didn't really know that it wasn't really like what they are now. |

Just 3 from me.
I'm a small U2 fan, and believe they have their moments, but seriously, "How To Dismantle an Atmoic Bomb" . . . . good lord. It was a huge step backwards for them. Have a look at a review I read. I think it's true as true can be: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=11worst And the other huge disappointment to me was "By The Way" from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. No specific complaint here, I just thought it was crappy. And last, but not least, "Riot Act" By Pearl Jam. They can do so much better. No further comment. |

Nevertheless, I'm definitly not the "snobby U2 fan". I can't deny the facts bout "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb". My fav album will always be "The Joshua Tree". I worship them for what they were in the past. Funny review btw (didn't read the whole one yet, but I will) |

Bono, is a very talented man, as are the rest of U2. But just because they made a crappy album doesn't give me the right to judge them, because they have made albums like "The Joshua Tree" and "Boy" . . . and maybe there's another album, similar or better on the way. You never know until you read it here. |
1-PiL "what is not" -it's no metal box
2-Black Flag "slip it in" -it contains one of my favorite's "bars" but it sounds as if greg ginn ran out of ideas and threw together a bunch of forced demos. 3-Guns 'n roses "use your illusion 2" - still great music, but the songs dont fit and it just doesnt have that appetite. 4-311 "soundsystem" -it's too dance-ish and not rock, ill stick w/grassroots and the fire album 5-stp "core" - sure it's good repetative commercial "grunge" but im not feeling it. love 4 and tiny music though. |

... i think i just threw up a little in my mouth. no offense to you, of course. but my secret wish is to rearrange his internal organs hehehe *evil smile* OH and as far as an album i hate by a band i love.... NIN - With Teeth totally worthless piece of shit |
Yeah, Maladroit, that's the one, I've only listened to it a few times since I bought it, it's horrible.
|
U2 has had there moments. I've been exposed to U2 my entire life because my mom has always been a huge fan. I always hated them until a couple months ago when I actually gave them a try. The Joshua Tree was a good mellow album, Unforgettable Fire had walls of delayed grooves, War had the Clash punk influence, and Achtung Baby moved in mysterious ways. Not my prefered sound but that doesn't mean I have to diss it.
led zeppelin- in through the outdoor. a decline in the standards set, this is the sound of a band nearing the end.QOUTE]
(My favorite Zeppelin album :)) Let's see I really don't like Corporate America by Boston. Come on Boston! Just give up & quit releasing an album per decade (except for the wopping 2 in the 70s). They lost all their thunder on that album. |
Pretty much everything Pearl Jam did after Vitalogy...Their Ten cd was so good then pffffff down the cr*pper she goes.
System of Downs - Steal this Album. Didnt do anything for me, it sucks compared to the others. Emotive by A perfect Circle, all i can say is wat the F_ck happened there. |
afi- the art of drowning, sing the sorrow and once I hear their new album it'll soon be added.
smashing pumpkins- adore nirvana- nevermind ratm- evil empire apc- emotive |
System of a Down - Mezmerize/Hypnotize
I don't really hate those albums, their just a little dissapointing |
I like Pink Floyd... but Ummagumma? It was a pain to listen to. Maybe if I were on acid...

stadium arcadium by rhcp, real lame and bland album. |
^ some hidden mediocre-ish songs, god knows why they released all the weakest material for singles.
|
I don't like much of the Smiths - Strangeways here we come
I've listened to it maybe 10 times and at least 5 songs haven't grown on me |
