Has anybody heard The Black Album? What can you tell me about it, if you have?

He played While My Guitar Gently Weeps when Geo. Harrison was inducted into Rock and Roll HOF and absolutely killed it...he is one talented mofo.

I'm trying to get into this sucker but since his discography is rather extensive I need some recommendations. I've already got Sign o the times, Parade and Purple rain. After a cursory glance, I'd say I like the latter the best (it has two of the 3 songs I've managed to really get into, When doves cry and the title track. The third if you're wondering is Kiss, surprise). So, does he have any other songs as great as those, and what are your...say top 10 songs from him? Any help is appreciated...

Apparently Prince just came out and said he doesnt support gay marriage!

...But he does support the wearing of gay clothes.

Actually, he said something very different, you should read the original article...

Oh and maybe some people don't adhere to your heterocentrist and patriarchal definition of gender roles or behavior.

I know, but I heard that on the radio this morning and had to let it be known.

...And I'll be more politically correct and considerate in the future, I apologize if I offended whatsoever.

On topic....he came out with two albums after Musicology? Gawsh am I behind on the Prince news!

I didn't care for Musicology, are the two newer ones worth it?

C'mon. As far as offending and getting in my poorly constructed shots, this is the worst I've done, and if this is the worst, then I must be quite charming most of the time thank you!

SNL does worse.

And what of the "Women" thread? I can laugh about it, even though its incredibly stereotypical and relies heavily on the social perceived roles of women.

I haven't posted in it for that very reason.

The balance is redressed with a Men thread where you can belittle us male folk to your hearts delight.
