@Andrewfoxholes

Maybe using online sites, and copyright your material. If you are going to put your music out for the public to hear and it's good, maybe copyright so other people won't steal it. My cousin is in band and he got the name for his band from a video game which he did get permission for from software company, well he got a cease and desist letter from another band in California telling his band not to use the name or they would sue them. The legal side of music can be a hassle. Besides writing and performing songs they is a whole other side to the music industry.

There probably isn't a genre of Rock n Roll (from the past 50-something years) that doesn't have some cult following. There are enthusiast who are into Rockabilly, Garage, Grunge, Space Rock, Stoner Rock, Dark Wave, Goth, Punk, Post-Punk etc etc and not to mention the plethora of Metal genres. Public intererst always shifts, there are plenty of bands playing Garage revival. Who knows ... that could be the next thing when people get sick of what out there now.

"Make" it big, or become popular. I guess you two don't have a secret twin language?
