The Mystery Album Club

Well, I’ve decided to start an album club. While there are a few on this site that are still active (Trollheart’s prog rock album club, djchameleon’s hip hop album club, and Lisnaholic’s folk and international roots album club), this one will be different. One person will be randomly selected from a list of participants and they will upload an untagged album that we have to listen to. Because it's untagged, though, we'll have no idea as to what album we're listening to.

The process for this club will be divided into three periods:
1. The Sign-Up Period (will last for 1 week for this first cycle, and 4 days for every other cycle). Simply post in this thread if you’re interested in participating. After this period’s over, I will compile a list of everyone who’s participating and put it into a list randomizer. The member whose name ends up at the top of the list will decide what we’re listening to. However, I will not reveal who this member is. If you've been selected, I will notify you with a PM.
2. The Selection Period (will last for 3 days). The selected member will have to make his/her decision as to what we’ll be listening to (feel free to choose whatever album you want as long as it's not longer than 80 minutes. Also, please choose an album that you've heard before. I don't want a Dark Saga incident to occur in this club). He/she will then have to remove every single tag (ex. removing track titles, the artist name, the album’s name, release year, etc.) from a digital copy of whatever album they chose.* He/she will then have to archive the untagged album as a .zip or .rar file and upload said file to a file-hosting site. He/she will then have to PM me a download link for this file. I will also be participating in this, so please don't tell me what the mystery album is.
3. The Listening Period (will last for 1 week). I will PM the download link for the mystery album to everyone else who’s participating (if anyone who hadn’t signed up wants to participate in the discussion, feel free to ask me for a download link via PM). They can then listen to the album and discuss it in this thread (if you've heard the album before and know what it is, please don’t reveal it’s identity in this thread). At the end of this period, the person who selected the album will reveal it’s identity (Note: if you chose an album and you feel like you won’t be able to reveal the mystery album’s identity at the end of this period for whatever reason (like if you’re on a vacation and know that you won’t have any access to the internet at all during this period), feel free to PM me the album’s name (please use a spoiler tag when doing so) and I’ll reveal it at the end of the period). The cycle will then begin anew.

I’ll probably end up hating this idea later today, but for now, I just hope that this actually goes somewhere.

Anyway, the first cycle begins now, so anyone who's interested has a week to sign up.

This sounds like something I absolutely want to be a part of.

Im going to be gone this weekend and then for a week and a half starting at the end of next week, so maybe I can join in after that? I think thats possible right haha?
