Have you listened to the new Nevermen album much? I gave it a few listens but wasn't all that impressed initially.

I just received it in the mail today and haven't downloaded the MP3s yet, so I've only heard one song from when it was first announced. My expectations aren't super high - I was tempted by the artwork and color and made an impulse buy.

I think that's about the same time I last bought any vinyl as well. Maybe something as late as the early 90's, but if I did I can't think what that might be. That doesn't count getting presents for other people, however. A couple years ago I bought my mother a few LP's for Christmas, since she still has a turntable.

I highly recommend getting a turntable again. If cash is an issue just cut back on some of the inessentials like clothes and food. I'd been without a working one for three years and just bought myself a new one for Christmas - so much fun. Great sound, big album artwork, and the whole ceremony of putting on a record where the turntable becomes a shrine. Sidewinder: I'd love to see your whole collection, some awesome stuff just out of what you've posted on this thread. |
