I've had former band members frown on the suggestion to cover Love Song by the Cure.

I have in the last year or so convinced them to go with Just Like A Dream though. So all is good.

Cause so far not one of them has complained about it being gay.

My friend- If you don't make music that is accessible for everyone you should not make music

My dad turned me on to America back in the 70s. They were all over the radio back then.

I don't know how I did it, but back during the 80s I convinced a cover band into doing that particular song. Somewhere doing the course of performing the song (in this hole in the wall biker bar) while I was walking across the stage I tripped on one of the countless speaker and mic chords running all across the floor. And evidently it looked pretty gay to the audience watching. Because, during our next 15 minute break a couple people from the audience suggested we should drop the song from our set list.

I guess I should have been embarrassed, but I wasn't.

I don't know how insistent she was about it but my mother used to think The Ramones were a Latin rock band.

Someone I know from work thinks Dan Fogelberg's name is "Dan Vogelberg." When I tell him it's Fogelberg he always reply the same way "... it's Dan Vogelberg... with a 'v'... Vvvvvvvvvogelberg."

Did you tell your mom they are The Ramones not The Ramóns?
