This is a gross misrepresentation and oversimplification of my music tastes, and I am offended. I like AOR, atmospheric black metal, prog, classical, some pop, Country, prog, NWOBHM metal, some soul, prog, power metal, blues, funeral doom, prog, some folk, ambient, prog, prog and prog. Oh, did I mention prog? And prog.

Also, my parents were married when the momentous occasion of my birth shook this world. If you're gonna insult me, at least do me the courtesy of researching my parentage!

Your parents got married right when you were born? Must've been really awkward for the wedding guests...

Edit: Oh, I get it, nevermind.

You remember when Manowar's singer left to go write a children's book and make bad post-thrash, and the rest of the band recorded two albums that made Judas Priest's line-up change look like a stroke of genius?

What's that you say? That was Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden? Well don't that beat all.

Real talk this time. I'd have been perfectly willing to vote for Led Zeppelin IV on the proto-metal battle in the Metal Album Survivor thread, if more of the album was like "Black Dog", and less like "Going to California". Somebody needed to tell that band that their attempts at folk were inconsistent at best.

And yet when Manowar try to branch out? Brilliance.

Batty don't get used to it, but Manowar is one of the very few bands/groups that I can say that I pretty much like all of their stuff.

I think that enjoying an artist ironically is one of the most obnoxious things a person can do.

Liking Manowar unironically is surprisingly (but not really) at least five times as obnoxious as that.

But what if my favorite band is, like, all of everything that exists, bro? You can't compete with eternity, bro.

This is the grave site of Jim Morrison. See why has it been defaced? Some of it might have been done by real fans, but most of it was likely put up by douchebags just trying to be cool.

This is the grave site for dearly departed Manowar drummer Scott Columbus... probably.

Why the lack of graffiti?

Fear.

This man knows what's up. It takes a real man to be able to recognize the brilliance of the nearly ten-minute, symphonic buildup to the first song on Gods of War. Inferior men may call it "mindless dull" and "egotistically self-indulgent", but you and I know the truth.

So your favorite band is also Manowar? Good man man/woman.
