Back when I was in Italy people would always try and sing English songs, the only problem being the hardcore Italian accents and that fact they had no idea what the words ment or how to pronounce them. Songs like Shut Up by the Black Eyed Peas were GIANT everywhere, and all the 'hip' teenagers would try and sing a long.

F*cking hilarious. Invented words flying around everywhere.

"Shuttahpa shattahpa shuttahpa! We ty to take eelow etc."

I dont think I can ever listen to that song again without thinking of all my Italian friends trying to sing it. Not such a bad thing, now that I think of it.

Just listening to Hendrix Manic depression and it reminded me I used to think he was singing 'full straight in miss' when it was 'frustrating mess'. ha ha. Jeez!

The line at about 1:05 of that song, the line is "On the deck the lady's holding her hand and I agree". But the first part is sung so that if you don't know the words it just sounds like random mumbling, which is how I sang the song for the longest time.

i was listning to the live A reality tour version of Fame by Bowie and heard him say 'gotta get a raincheck.' I was surprised 'cause the proper lyrics are 'gotta get a rent-a-gun'. then again maybe Bowie knows bettter than I do. Although considering he actually says on the same album he can't remember which album Be my wife is on...

I think I spelt it wrong, it's i am un chien andalusia. But wtvz.

Is the film meant to be good? It's from the 20s/30s isn't it?
Might be worth a watch. The only French film I've seen is Amelie.

I thought it was up until reading the correct lyrics just now:

"I am moonshine, I can't lose ya"

One of my recent favorite misheard lyrics came from my mother a few days ago. I was visiting her, and she started singing a certain Beatles song, and commented on how she'd misheard the lyrics previously: "I thought it said, 'happiness is a warm bun', but that didn't make any sense. I realized that it's 'happiness is a woman' now."

Her world was brought crashing down when I had to inform her that the song is actually, "Happiness Is a Warm Gun". Poor Mom.
