I would be too.I saw videos of them playing Colchester recently and their just as good as they were, aged hasn't slowed them down at all. Especially Graham who's even better at the guitar then he was 10 years ago (as you'd expect him to be) and Damon is still jumping around the stage which is nice to see.
Blur going on without Graham is like The Smiths going on without Johnny Marr. And Crazy Beat suffers from a tendency that some Blur songs have, an annoying cheesy chorus. 'Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah', like that of Charmless Man 'he went Na Na Na Na Na Na' come Damon you can do better.

As for Girls & Boys here's a video of them playing it recently to prove my point that they still sound great.

Think Tank still stand as the best Blur album in my eyes, I see it a good thing that Coxon left as to me, he only appeared to be restricting the bands boundaries. Blur is about Damon for me, not Coxon.

lol wut? He's the reason they changed their sound form britpop to experimental alt rock in the first place. Blur for me is about the songwriting partnership of Albarn and Coxon.

I think their most experimental period was after Coxon left. Ah well, so long as somebody enjoys Think Tank I suppose, i listened to it in full last night and it really is excellent. #

As for Glastonbury, I saw Neil Young's play an epic version of 'Rockin In The Free World'. Must have gone on for like 10 mins lol feedback all over the place as usual. Had this crowd wave thing going on at one point.

It took me awhile to get into that one but it's great, among the best on their self titled.

I saw some videos of their Glastonbury performance late last night and I have to say it was really amazing probably the best Ive ever seen from Glastonbury headliner.

I don't know if I like Blur or not.

I think they're very overrated.

I know the old debate Noel vs Damon, but lyrics like "boys who like girls who like boys who who like girls" are embarrassing. People say Damon is one of the best song writers around. I can't see why.

Don't get me wrong, I like a few of their stuff they've done. Song 2, No Distance Left To Run, Tender.

Same could be said about Oasis. Oasis are ok I think Noel is a good guitar player and a funny guy, but he's songwriter is so boring. I also find it pretty annoying that you can't bring up Blur without talking about Oasis, they sound almost nothing alike. And I don't know where all this Girls & Boys hate is coming from, it's called a catchy chorus. And if youre going to criticize it you could atleast get the lyrics right its "girls who are boys who like boys to be girls who do boys like they're girls who do girls like they're boys'.

Noel's songwriting is boring but he's a good guitarist? I think you have that the other way round, his guitar playing is average, I think he has good lyrics, some of it a bit football terracey.. they aren't the best band by a long long long way, but they're one that I grew up with and are one of my favourites.

Oh, and I brought Oasis and Blur up because I was reading a thread called Damon Albarn vs Noel Gallagher.

Girls and Boys is a fucking awful song. Katy Perry Hot and Cold is catchy, like many songs, doesn't mean it's any good. Although to reiterate I don't totally dislike Blur and I like Graham Coxon as a guitarist.
