Maybe you should write to all those bands that fit (purposely, mostly) into various
genres and tell them that they are only allowed ONE, that's it! - just ONE genre buddy!

Nobody said you should stop. Not sure where you're getting that idea.

Quit putting words in my mouth bud. Never said anything about being forced into one genre, that's just asinine. Look at my own threads I make sure that every base is covered. It doesn't matter to me what kind of music you are making, only that I understand what kind of music it is. That's why I wanted Kiiii to post genres. Trust me if I posted the wrong genre, and I have before, on my own thread people are quick to correct me.

I guess the point is that a lot of music does fit into one, or more, genres, while nobody is saying there isn't music that can't be categorised. Hell, I've even used a genre "WTF?" to label some music I've listened to!

My point (again) is that Kiiii shouldn't have to feel the need to label these recordings he's listening to with "genre" notifications, because genres are so damn liquid that oftentimes you can't pin it down - and he shouldn't have to.
