Ok. Now i am honest. I am doing online research for a mayor american record company. They want to reinvent commercial melodic hard rock/metal. These treads are part of that online research. They want to know how people respond to old glam metal music and culture.

Congrats. They gave you a pointless job they don't believe in because you're either a write-off employee or so low level that this is your "making your bones" assignment.

Either way we don't care and neither do your employers. So piss off.

I do, if you're talking the first wave of hair metal. Ratt is one of my favorite bands. I also love grunge though, Soundgarden is also one of my favorite bands.

I don't get why this guy is reviving this thread though. MB is not the place to do your research.

I'm not really a fan of the hair metal thing, but some of the bands had some very good guitarists.

I love Jake E. Lee's playing when he was with Ozzy. He's probably also played some cool stuff in whatever glam band it was that he was in.

I shouldn't have brought up those other accounts.I should have left that knowledge of those other off-forum posts kept to myself. I should have just left things the way they were. Maybe it was just a synchronicity. Who knows? Maybe you didn't copy/paste those other people with similar usernames. Maybe Rupert Sheldrake is right about "morphic resonance." Maybe you tapped into the collective conscientiousness of "Grunge Haters" and post very similar things. With that I apologize.

You sir were the Tipper Gore of Grunge that this forum so desperately needed and it's good to see you back.

Badlands? That's the only other Jake E. Lee band I can think of off the top of my head. If so, yeah Badlands has some good stuff.

Yeah, it was Badlands then. For a moment, I even wondered if he was in Ratt. I don't know my hair metal ABC's.
