Bruh the marketing wouldn't work if it didn't speak to them. And much of this music isn't major label. It's self-made. And the major labels didn't just invent this trope, it was invented by the artists themselves and picked up on because it spoke to their audience. Guess what, poor people want stuff. They want things like food and housing but they also want ALL the things that they are denied such as good food and good housing and this is expressed often through ****ty trap music. Perhaps you should consider opening your mind to the working class if you're going to fight for them. Or, you know, just become a Chula-esque neoliberal like we're all predicting.

I mean yeah, I'm not exactly a real socialist but I'm very sympathetic to socialism while being a misanthropist, but if you're going to be a real socialist then maybe you should open your mind to the views of the plebs you're trying to represent.
