I thought the same, adidasss, and have already requested that my user name be changed from Lisnaholic to Complete Dilettante.

I notice Black Midi have a couple of mentions, but their full-on math rock style was a bit too much for me. I enjoyed much more the album For The First Time, which is busy, but with some quieter periods, and some great, eccentric "art rock" vocals. As we Black Country New Road afficionados like to say, "The absolute pinnacle of British engineering!" Hear the album, join the club.

If you really want to relax, "Vulture Prince" by Arooj Aftab is top quality delicate world music from a Pakistani singer brought up in Brooklyn. Her group of musicians include harp, violin and Terry Riley's son on guitar.

Well, that's my list: I think I heard 3 albums that were released this year

I'm an engineer. I often listen to music while working.
