I'd love to peruse your thoughts on this album, if you'd be so kind as to provide a link?

Also, what do you think of their self-titled album?

I haven't been able to get a copy of their ST, I have their Zombies on the Airwaves of Paris EP which is fun but obviously a big step down artistically.

You might possibly the funniest and wittiest troll I have ever seen.

I have to admit, reading this was truly enjoyable.

This thread is fantastic... delusional or not, he's recommending some great albums. You should stick around for a while. Snowman looks quite good, based on your review fruit.

I need a cure for boredom at work.

Fruitonica, that is an excellent review. Exceptionally well-written. Snowman's self-titled album is very different to The Horse, the Rat and the Swan, but I still rather enjoy it. Should you be so inclined, pm me your postal address, and I shall send a copy of this album directly to you, at my own expense.

Again, my sincerest compliments. I shall look forward to your future posts, and any prescriptions that you might make.

Good sir/madam, I take umbrage at your accusations of trolling, yet remain rather chuffed that my medical terminology has affected you in such a positive manner. It's confusing, this duality of emotion. Perhaps some xanax and a little nap is in order...

Ah, yes, the common modern day malady, "Occupational Doldrums". Incredibly contagious, and a health threat to rival any mutated H1N1 strain.

music_phantom, for you I prescribe my absolute favourite indie band and album:

Band: Not From There
Album: Sand on Seven
Descriptors: The most indie of indie, this band exposed the ARIA's for the sensational farce that it is. Upon winning an ARIA award (egads! tautology!) for the above album, they took to the stage, whereupon the lead singer was heard to remark, "We don't even know what the f*** we are doing here."

Poignant.

The album itself encompasses a vast array of aesthetics- jagged post-punk morphs into soaring riff-age, before giving way to hypnotic loops and samples. Vocals alternate between spoken word, croons, and barked German. It may be difficult to find, but it is certainly worth the effort.
"Seek" it out...*ahem*.

Don't mind me. Just take the positive side of your duality of emotion and don't do drugs.

My sincerest apologies for my absence, fellow music users. I have been attending the 2009 Leper Olympics. This year, they were held in sunny Cherrapunji, India. The event was an overwhelming success and traumatic experience. Many former champions and athletes returned, yet, sadly, there were few recognisable faces.

There are some interesting, subtle differences between this event and the regular, white-with-two-sugar Olympics. Most notably, many of the sporting events are far more dangerous and difficult to watch. Take archery, for example- most competitors can only manage a single shot, due to tensile bow string effects on afflicted fingers. Messy business. Messy business indeed. Don't even get me started on wrestling...

Anyhow, other than the above *ahem* amazing experience, I am pleased to inform you all that I have been nominated for the "Ho-Am Prize in Medicine" for my groundbreaking work within the field of 'penile dementia'.

Moving right along...

Unfortunately, I cannot advocate music theft for the following reasons:

(1) Someone, somewhere will eventually find and arrest me.
(2) Apart from being a wildly successful doctor, I am also a failed musician.
(3) Not From There was an indie band that never quite made it, but they deserve a little of your money for this album.

However, I have found two sites that have the album "Not from There- Sand on Seven" available in either physical or digital format for a very reasonable price:

(1) ebay- Not From There - Sand on Seven CD - eBay (item 320458207102 end time Jan-03-10 16:29:56 PST)

(only one dollar!)

(2) Not From There - Sand on Seven MP3 music downloads - 7digital

(only USD 7.77!!)

Silly! Gender is meaningless on the internet!

Quick prescription:

Band: Seafood
Album: When do we start fighting?
Descriptors: Guitar fuzz and beautiful melodies/harmonies. This album maintains a melancholic feel throughout, yet features many explosions into pure, heartfelt angst. A very good alternative pop/rock album that, in my most humble of opinions, represents the band at their best.

Cheerio!
