and if you're looking for something more distortion filled, you could always go listen to Hüsker Dü (who have probably influenced several of those bands you listed there)

I am really into the discovered but under appreciated musicians in the Indie/Alternative area. I guess right now I'm looking for a female singer that would have the same effect on the soul as Ani Difranco. Also, for a male artist.. anyone who could follow Noah Gundersen would just absolutely melt my soul. Not really looking for bands though, unless you've got one to recommend that would be utterly mind blowing. Just solo artists who've got the right feel. Anyone?

I've listened to a Noah Gunderson on Youtube and he kinda sounded like Sufjan Stevens (in case you haven't listened to him before)

I worship this band. I mean love it. But unfortunately Ive played the album something like 60 times and I need something new any recommendations?
