odd how I have a lot of Malkmus stuff and seen him live but still don't rate them much.. will play their stuff again soon to check it out...

I think I prefer the Silver Jews over the Jicks, Berman's lyrics are in most cases amazing and Malkmus' guitar work seems a bit more focused.
Face The Truth is probably my favourite Jicks album, damn those synths are funky.

pavement is good but not very original at all. just about all of slanted and enchanted sounds like either sonic youth. the fall,rem or some other band from just before their time

how could you say that pavements lyrics are not original. nobody wrote like that before malkmus.
