Was that so hard?

I like candid pics much better than professionally doctored ones, anyways.

Idk but Vanilla bb you don't know very many nice girls! I'm sparing with compliments though because it's really vacuous to just be like "Oh, you're so pretty!1!!" all the gd time . I always feel insincere, so I like to pick out things I enjoy about someone's face.

Girls can say those kinds of things because they need the occasional self-esteem lift. It's only insincere when it's two fat bitches consoling each other about how much better for it they are when they can't land a man. Doesn't seem like you two have that problem.

Guys aren't as tied emotionally to their outward appearance. I've had a guy friend compliment me on how he thought I was good-looking, and to be honest, it made me feel a little weird.

I usually don't like to pull out the "Oh but you're not fat" etc type comments when someone is complaining about something of that nature, it doesn't help them better themselves and just coddles them. Although, I've known lots of fat chicks to get boyfriends tbh. I was fat once though sooo...

Giving out compliments can be kinda weird too, there have been times where I think "oh this girl has SUCH a lovely figure" but don't want to come off as a creep but then it's like, **** it, why not say something nice and not care if it comes off as creepy

I give lots of compliments to girls when they look good. I feel like often they think im just mindlessly hitting on them, which sure might be the case from time to time. For the most part though I like to tell people when something they are doing is working, and not in a sexual way just a matter of fact. Some girls definitly get it though and hopefully go on throughout their day feeling slightly better.

Lucifer Sam has it right though. You cant just walk up to a man and say nice pecs their really poppin today, its uncomfortable and odd.

I rarely compliment girls. I always think it comes across as hollow, even if I mean it. I see other guys do it so much that I can't help but think most girls just think "Yeah, right..." every time they hear it.

a much subtler way is to complement on their clothes or shoes - which doesn't come off so much as hitting on them

I see what you mean. But picking something is actually more personal than saying 'you're pretty'. Just yesterday I looked at a picture of you and thought "Got to love those big eyes". But if you post that, that sounds a bit more... intimate than just saying 'you're very pretty'. It's quite easy to scare people away when you pick out things you like.

See, that's what I meant. Saying "you've got a brilliant figure" sounds a lot more scary than "I think you're a pretty girl". Not meaning I never tell my female friends I love *enter anything* about them. But it's a bit different on a forum, I think .
And hey, I come over as a creep anyway to some of youz

This very much depends on the relation you have with that girl, and probably the remark you make. There's girls I hug and I just tell them they smell nice (if they do, obviously. They usually do ) and there's times in a conversation I tell them they look pretty. But it doesn't work if you really walk towards a girl and go like "You're very pretty you know". That's just weird .

You have to know who you're talking to.
I have recently sad "god you have a nice ass" to a girl I was standing behind in my kitchen. I knew she could take it. And I know how she thinks about me. So it's quite safe .
I usually never make such remarks, but she really has a very nice ass and she likes hearing such things coming from me, so I couldn't resist

This is all news to me. I thought girls were well known for complimenting one another without meaning it, whilst men were known for insulting each other without meaning it.

Lol, the latter seems very true. The first thing... Never heard about that. Are they?
