Talking Salutations my friends!

I have come to this corner of the internet to expand my musical library. I was the cool guy who turned their friends on to all the weird and new bands. I was the guy who everyone wanted to load up the stereo for parties.

Well, that was in the mid 90's.. Something happened and I lost my music Mojo. Around 2000 I started to lose interest in new music, slowly losing interest on what was being released. At first I blamed a woman. Yeah you Brittney Spears, but that wasn't it. My musical world went into a downward spiral of rehashed music. Although the tunes are still great, the soundtrack of my life has turned into a predictable playlist. Background noise.. a musical cliche. I'm that dude stuck in 1998. There have been faint glimpses of discovery but nothing like it used to be. No excitement when hearing a new sound..

I am I just old? Is the music as dead as it seems to me? I've tried other places, Spotify, Last.FM, followed many a rabbit hole on Youtube and just came out with scraps.

Oh well, this is why I'm here. I hope it turns into a doorway that leads to the new music I desire but have not been able to find.

I get you bro, I used to be that guy too with my friends. But all of a sudden my music taste just devolved into background noise when I'm out. I only listen to chill electronic songs and it's been like that for a year and half. Anyway, what are you currently listening to? Any longtime favourite bands/artists?

I will throw myself head first into another stereotype..

I listen to pretty much everything except for Rap / Hip-hop and Country and Modern Pop makes me contemplate suicide.

My playlist currently has lots of Psychedelic Rock (its my go to) like Jimi Hendrix, Floyd, with some foreign bands thrown in like Dungen and Duke Spirit. I grew up on a hippy commune running around naked with goats and hippies blasting their 60's music, so that's always been a big favorite of mine.

I too have started listening to electronic music. I quite enjoy Sphongle.

Tread lightly when talking about Britney.

Or Kesha, Carly Rae Jepsen, Acid Bath and Dolly Parton.

I made another post but it is waiting to be approved for some reason. Didn't want you to think I was ignoring your questions TM.

Well In my other post that's waiting for moderation I answered that question. Should I just wait instead of being redundant? How long does post approval take?
