I listen to One Republic Video's everyday, my medicine. Like the old stuff from Nightwish
like the song Nemo and that kind of style. Big fan of The Who and seen them live more than anyone else.
At 15 I was employed in Saville Row London near the well known Carnaby Street so was right on the music scene, most weekend with a good mate would be around the Flamingo or Marquee Clubs catching whoever was on stage. James Bay and Paolo Nutini they also rock my boat. Zep Leppelin and Deep Purple, Roger Gloves late Father just happened to be our neighbours when we lived in Spain..nice guy was Norman, spent his days painting and he was really good...
I like to take on different music and so I do listen to all sorts...not a rapper fan at all though..Like Rock Like soppy Ballads as well...So ok, not like a straight answer as such, music is actually a big part of my life so hard to list them all......
I could I not mention.. Train love them...Jessie Glynne ,Freida Ridings Lost without you, that is so good but so sad and Kodaline.

That must have been cool. I was never one that went out to clubs much. I had the chance to see Nick Lowe once though. That was ones of my all time favorite shows I've seen. It was in a small, dark, & cozy club on South Street - very good acoustics. I was standing only a few feet away from Nick Lowe -- watching him sing, and play bass.

I am currently reading "White Bicycle" (2006) by Joe Boyd. He talks about the UFO club, and the band Tomorrow. That was a band Steve Howe was in before he joined Yes. My uncle was one who went to a lot of concerts. He got to see Deep Purple, and Led Zeppelin (their first US tour). He actually got to meet Jimmy Page before the concert. He also met John Lennon once at a radio station.

I've heard of Train, but I am lost with a lot of the newer names you mentioned. My interests spans decades. I like everything from The Stones to Steeleye Span to Solid Space to The Smiths to Sulk, and then I kinda loose track who's who. I really don't know any new new artist from the UK. Do you like Rumer? I kinda like her, she's not bad. She does perform a lot of covers. Quite a few are soppy ballads which are a plus.

Just tuned in to her...she sounds simple, just nice to have in the background is my initial opinion of her..Would get bored though if I just sat and listen to that style as no pull...
Some of the music I now listen to is from others talking about so and so and then I like to take myself off and listen to 'so and so' and go from there. Nightwish was a new like for me, the first time my mate Ash based in the UK gave me a link for Nemo I found the start of the Video a bit of a step back but gave it more air time and would say it is a favorite song for me now..Played it to my daughter over facebook messenger and said to her give it a few hearings before you judge it...she just came back straight away and only listen to a couple of lines and said well put in it English.. not for me. found it so spooky..So I rest my case, if you can't listen really listen then what is the point in being open with music. Styles do change, new stuff old stuff loads I miss of course, being retired I have time to be layed back about smelling the roses...
good home style video...

I love the energy even though not a rapper fan really, but it is something about her voice that I liked straight away, even in a different sounding song..she brings me out and that is good about music.
So enjoying the variety I am getting lately as well, some from here and some elsewhere...

She's got a great voice for sure. It was after hearing this song (another remix, that I for one think is better than the original. But I'm more into house than pop) that I became a fan. Seems like ages ago now.
