Negative, I completely agree that you wouldn't have started this without wanting to respect others opinions and realize that you do.

I meant that me and you are pretty much/as of now polar opposites on most (political) issues, and that when we hear something the other is about to say we pretty much go into it knowing we aren't going to agree with each other and are both very defensive towards each other with the argument.

I've found some of the debate on here lively and fascinating.
In particular the jousting between IamAlejo and adidasss.

It is true to say that you are both polar opposites and irrespective of what my personal opinions are I've come to respect both points of view.
In fact balancing the two opinions, I'd say I've learnt from it.

Great stuff.

An army has to be a disciplined, well trained, cohesive unit.

People who commit crimes are generally none of these things.

I'm all for the death penalty. If I was to kill someone I'd be much happier with dying than living in jail until I died. (Most of the time) People kill eachother for a reason. If I am to kill someone, I will have made my mind up to do it. Sort of a "going out with a bang" idea. That would be my final act in life. To end the one I hated. You shouldn't be punished for doing what you want, but you'll be ended for it if it's """"bad"""" enough, and if it was worth it, you did the right thing.

If anyone wants to flame me, I'm also for abortion and assisted suicide. Have fun.

I thought about that LOYALTY deal, but I hate to hear about how some kid gets killed and the parents say he was a perfect child that shouldn't have gone etc. I think its worthy of experimentation. you have to take in the fact that most criminals that have been in the system are always reding books, working out, getting degrees, etc. the government gives them three meals a day + shelter + exercise. I would jsut rather see tax dollars put to a more efficient use. I think some criminals that have legitimatly changed (barring the arguement that criminals never change) and are going to serve a lifes sentence should be put to some kind of reasonable use, rather then living an entire life in some standard of luxory - being that they are kept alive, safe, fed.
