yes i did, and my dad was the one who forced me to, my mom tried to convince him other wise, my grandfather and grandmother did it to him because he was sent to a consentration camp during WW2 for now joining the hitler youth, and because there was nothing to eat hardly, he ingraind the thought of if its on your plate and edible you must eat it, no excuses.

See, now if you tell people "blah, blah German, blah, blah" they don't care, but if you tell them the details about concentration camps, refusals to join the Hitler youth and resultant (!) grandchild brain-fukkery then your heritage actually becomes interesting and meaningful.

see, i wasn't wanting to tell to much because its kinda a personal thing, along with having to learn some form of music, my dad plays guitar, i do vocals and bass, my grandfather played accordian and sung as well ect....

Ah, but those are two different things. Goosestepping IS a pure stereotype, because it relates to an image which many people associate with Germany, but which is HISTORICAL - although the Nazism which it was associated with is still one of the most important parts of German and European histories - not CURRENT.

The pornography association is a much more relevant because Germany 'consumes' lots of porn, the most in Europe. It consumes it to this very day and that is, I believe, a relevant cultural trait.

As far as the person who had to sit at the table for 4 hours, I don't see how anyone can blame that on their heritage. That seems more a parenting decision than anything else.

About the fast food watering down in Europe, that's got nothing to do with any color but one: green.

And about the stereotyping. That ties in nicely with the original topic of this thread, racism. People form opinions on what they see from the outside, and without bothering to find out the facts, or experience someone else's ways, they grow and nurture their uneducated views until hate sprouts.
