wow, needed 3 posts? I dont watch TV. After katrina happened I didnt know for five days. Not for the people who instigate it. If you're in politics war can help to keep you in power and means that people will remember you (history teachers love talking about wars past). Its failure for everybody else, those who go along with the warmongers and those who can't do anything much to stop it.

that isnt totally true...

look at eisenhower... he was one of the best american soldiers but yet he had limited cognitive skills, and hardly anyone remembers him without the korean war.

How would you propose one "change" the situation?

Fly into Lebanon with an AK and a machete and take down Hezbollah single-handedly? Or maybe assasinate Bush to prevent America's involvement and the possible outbreak of a world war?
