Iran, as a whole, is actually one of the most progressive Middle Eastern countries. e.g. Their drug rehabilitation programmes are miles beyond that of any Western countries. Iran doesn't hate Jews, hell their President doesn't hate Jews - he hates the presidence of Israel. If you look at the sort of stuff that Israel gets up to and consider the history situation and implications on surrounding nations you'd probably share his sentiments ... Saying Israel should be "wiped off the map" is different to saying "we should butcher as many Jews as possible".
America, the UK and everyone else who chipped in are duty bound to stay until the country has been returned to stability. They're also duty bound to rebuild and in doing so provide for local artisans, but I guess that money is better spent on American corporations rather than giving a livelihood to the Iraq builder ...
