We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

But thats basically whats been happening ever since he was captured.

Either way , the truth is that Saddam has been a red herring ever since the Iraq army was found out to be nowhere near as powerful as he had claimed and everybody had guessed since the first gulf war.
Before that he was a real threat to his neighbours. After that the best he could manage was by bluffing to UN weapons inspectors about his weapons capabilities and by playing to the worlds suspicions about what he actually had.
His death won`t mean a thing.
I concur.
At 10 last night, on Fox News, they were displaying the hanging as "Breaking News".
This of course, is a bunch of shit.
After the United States, global policeman, captured him from Iraq, the world knew that he was basically non-existant from then on.
Even though I don't agree with the hanging, it technically was not done by the U.S., so it's not completely distasteful.
His death doesn't matter much though, he was either going to die in Iraq or rot in a United States federal prison for the rest of his life.

But that's pretty much the controversy of the death penalty, now isn't it?

While your doubt makes sense, it is not that way in real life. Do a little research and you'd be surprised what inmates get to do.

I'm sorry, I forgot that in Iraq even if you're a prisoner you can do whatever and go wherever.

Theres an unedited version of the hanging I saw, the quality blows but it was recorded on a cell phone, then posted on the internet. Obviously everyone has the right attitude towards a mans death.

The only picture that is actually horrific is the one of the man chained to a wall abuot to be eaten by a croc.

All the rest are fine if you're like some sort of war lord or something. Nothing wrong with the rest of them.

Is it wrong to say I like his taste in art?
