I am listening to old school Sepultura and having a beer.

Howard the Duck 10-22-2011 09:34 AM

anyone else here likes retro arcade games?

i've been insanely getting off on them

lucifer_sam 10-25-2011 12:41 PM

Is it just me or do men generally treat other men like shit?

I was in my undergraduate office trying to resolve a simple adjustment to my registration in order to graduate on time, and a guy I talked to berated me like some asshole fresh off the high school boat. I then talked to two women later from the same office, who were both very respectful and managed to acclimate my needs without being condescending whatsoever. I mean, my tuition pays his salary...why does a man in a position of authority feel the need to act like a dick?

Tsunami 10-25-2011 01:46 PM

I got a bit too excited thanks to Nuclear Assault and started to drum my coffee mug with a spoon, result: a broken mug... :(

I find people that work in those offices just hate life. The people that come see them are all young motivated kids who are going somewhere while they have to help them get there...all the while being stuck where they are. Yeah, I would hate life, too...

The Monkey 10-25-2011 04:48 PM

Union representatives came to my work today (lifting packages at the post office). They were highly critical of most things, particularly security and the lack of breaks during shifts (we work six hours with one 30 minute break), as well as the lack of equipment to help with heavy lifts. I doubt anything will change, but seeing them on the floor berating and humiliating the bosses in front of all the workers brought out the inner socialist in myself. :D

Unicr0n 10-25-2011 11:49 PM

I broke up with my girlfriend of three years last week, and cannot WAIT to get out of this house. Away from her, and her kids, and just...ugh. Even though it means I'm living on my dad's couch for a few months while I get everything sorted out, I'll finally be FREE. I'm tempted to run to my nearest church with a functioning steeple and ring the bell.

My boyfriend made not one, but two literary references today. I don't think I could be any prouder, this **** didn't read a damn thing since Harry Potter and OoTP, and hes referencing Maggie Atwood and John Irving!

Sansa Stark 11-06-2011 10:32 PM

Get out

Howard the Duck 11-07-2011 02:04 AM

misread that as "get your own AIDS, Africa"...

ThePhanastasio 11-07-2011 05:48 AM

Walked out of the house this morning only to be greeted by my mother in the house adjacent, walking out to get the paper. She informed me that this morning, I look like a "pirate hipster".

Him apparently. I think he was heartbroken over Sirius tbh

And Il Duce, they are not daunting at all in my opinion. I read every one in a day

I don't know why, but that's one of the coolest items I've seen in a long time.

you can speed-read?

Sansa Stark 11-11-2011 10:43 AM

Not all of them in a day, I mean when I got them, I read each in the span of a day.

The fact that I ate pig's liver at my school made me feel like a trve predator.

Salami 11-12-2011 07:49 AM

I feel ill, and there are wolves after me.
I also think my best friend is falling in love with me when he gave me an iPod for nothing. How do I tell him that I still want to be his friend but I'm not homosexual? (I'm not homosexual).

Sansa Stark 11-12-2011 08:18 AM

What,is he gay?

Some friends do nice things for their friends because they're friends.

I really don't know. His personality is deep, with many facets which are hard to fathom. Being gay would probably explain it. I'd like him just as much if he was, but suddenly a lot of things would become very clear. It doesn't really matter. I like gay people just as much.

that's pretty much a staple diet where I'm at, though I prefer chicken liver

I haven't tasted that, the only downside was that it was so damn tough, but it's okay, since that's exactly what made me feel like a trve predator. It was actually very enjoyable with cranberries.

depends on how it's cooked

we just boil it or fry it for a little while - you overcook it, it becomes very tough

Well, our food provider (Sodexo) most certainly cannot afford to fail with the food, so they cooked it and it was like black.

that's overdone - you stop at deep purple/slightly brown

But think about it if an already hated food provider made it too raw. That would be chaotic.

it'd at least be edible

Yes, actually that would make one soooooooooooo trve predator, but apparently a few individuals even looked at the pig's liver in the first place (we always have two different kinds of food + two vegetarian)

Salami 11-12-2011 09:29 AM

I think almost any liver tastes nice, but goose is probably still my favourite ("Pate du Fois Gras"). I'm certainly prepared to try anything new.
