Watching Twin Peaks on LSD is an awful idea. I thought my love for Ray Wise would make it all right. It didn't.

Started watching it before I dropped, was about four episodes in beforehand, actually. It hit me fairly hard by the time episode 6 was winding down, which is kind of horrific in and of itself, and I was into season 2 when I was peaking.

Very confusing, visually troubling at times, and straight up gave me the fear.

I'm going to have to rewatch pretty much that entire series now, just to see if it's as traumatizing sober.

Yes, but only the scenes involving James Hurley and Donna Hayward expressing their love for one and other *shudders*.

If you're going to watch Lynch on lucy, I would suggest something beyond strange like Inland Empire or Eraserhead (although they might give you the fear if you're sensitive to that kind of thing).

The thing is, I find that when I'm tripping, even on medium to large doses, if something's just straight-up surreal, it's not going to be as traumatic as something that's more or less normal for a few minutes, then devolves into madness. It's the whole personal investment in the story unfolding - in Eraserhead, I get used to the strangeness quickly, and just have an uncomfortable sense of dread throughout. With something like Twin Peaks, I was following a storyline with characters who would have moments of normalcy, then strange things began happening which made me more suddenly horrified, and thus way more affected by the material.

As far as droogs lately - had some Northern Lights today - pricey stuff. Friend got back from a road trip to see some buddies in Arizona, and they got it from Cali. I wasn't especially stoned, but I was ridiculously high. There was a period of time where I couldn't form sentences properly. That stuff's firemost.

So what do people have to say about medicinal marijuana? I think I had some the first time I ever smoked weed and it got me absolutely blazed off like one bong hit. Of course this was my first smoke, so I can't really say how good it actually was.

Shroomin' tomorrow.

Made a playlist to possibly think about putting on. Songs that have layers and some good rhythm and space to really bring it all together...with some songs that are just lovely.

Playlist.
