I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

1. What is your favourite natural feature, ie trees, mountains, lakes, whatever?

Yosemite's firefalls/waterfalls in general

2. What do you think/believe is the most threatened single aspect of nature?

Large animals.

3. Tree-hugger, Stuff the Environment, Shrug or Do What I Can As Long As I Don't Have To Do Much?

When they want to test the age of a tree, they carve out a circle through the whole tree to get a cross section of the core. That hole is where I show nature my love.

4. What's your favourite tree and why?

Redwoods because they're huge.

5. Do you think logging helps or hinders the environment?

Hurts, but it's unfortunately necessary in many places with damming, canals, etc.

6. What in your opinion is the biggest "crime against nature" in the last, say, 20 years?

Bolsonaro's role in the 2019 Amazon rainforest fires.

1. What is your favourite natural feature, ie trees, mountains, lakes, whatever?
There's a word for it that I can't think of or find right now, but it's basically a giant sinkhole with with forests and practically it's own eco system. They're located in China's more mountainous region.

2. What do you think/believe is the most threatened single aspect of nature?
Forests.

3. Tree-hugger, Stuff the Environment, Shrug or Do What I Can As Long As I Don't Have To Do Much?
I feel like no matter what we say or do, there will always be a group of people looking to make a profit even if it means killing the planet. They have money and power, and hippies don't have either.

4. What's your favourite tree and why?
The sequoia, it's one of the names I go by on some sites.

5. Do you think logging helps or hinders the environment?
It would be fine if it was done in a way that was sustainable, but it's usually not.

6. What in your opinion is the biggest "crime against nature" in the last, say, 20 years?
You could probably say 40 years, but deforestation of the Amazon without a doubt.

I don't use the word very often because Americans totally overuse it, but hell, that is ****ing awesome!

1. What is your favourite natural feature, ie trees, mountains, lakes, whatever?

Overall I think trees, though any sort of landscape is beautiful - rolling hills, sparkling lakes, high mountains...

2. What do you think/believe is the most threatened single aspect of nature?

The imminent extinction of animals I, as a kid, assumed would always be here - tigers, leopards, elephants etc.

3. Tree-hugger, Stuff the Environment, Shrug or Do What I Can As Long As I Don't Have To Do Much?

Shrug. Not proud of it but I have enough to do as it is.

4. What's your favourite tree and why?

Chestnut or oak. Just, you know, mighty and spreading.

5. Do you think logging helps or hinders the environment?

I find this one hard to answer (what? You set the questions, you moron! Yes I know but...) - I've seen programmes which contend that for every tree felled the company plants a new one, but I wonder how true that is. I don't like the idea of losing all our trees. And yet, the world is ruled by IKEA...

6. What in your opinion is the biggest "crime against nature" in the last, say, 20 years?

Trump consistently opening nature reserves and suchlike to oil drilling companies and so forth.

1. What is your favourite natural feature, ie trees, mountains, lakes, whatever?

Gaia

2. What do you think/believe is the most threatened single aspect of nature?

Over population and exhaustion of natural resources.

3. Tree-hugger, Stuff the Environment, Shrug or Do What I Can As Long As I Don't Have To Do Much?

Even though they get in my way, I'm a hugger.

4. What's your favourite tree and why?

The mighty Oak. Why? Because they can sustain their own ecosystems, and they're majestic asf.

5. Do you think logging helps or hinders the environment?

"Logging" doesn't help anything with the environment, but when done in a responsible manner Forest Management can open up ecosystems for new and replenished plant life.

6. What in your opinion is the biggest "crime against nature" in the last, say, 20 years?

Irresponsible manufacturing.

1. What is your favourite natural feature, ie trees, mountains, lakes, whatever? don't really have a favorite. I guess generally speaking mountains make for the best scenery

2. What do you think/believe is the most threatened single aspect of nature?
Like frownland said, large animals. Whales, mountain gorillas, polar bears, tigers, etc. There's less and less room for these animals the more we expand.

3. Tree-hugger, Stuff the Environment, Shrug or Do What I Can As Long As I Don't Have To Do Much?

I care but I don't believe conservation on the individual level is a viable path to protecting the environment. It's something that can only be changed systematically via govt intervention, technology, etc.

4. What's your favourite tree and why?
They had these banyan trees in Florida growing up where the vines would extend to the ground and become roots. They would wrap around anything and swallow it up. One of them in my neighborhood had swallowed a car. Those are my favorite cause they were the most fun to climb.

5. Do you think logging helps or hinders the environment?
I don't think anything we do on an industrial scale helps the environment lol

6. What in your opinion is the biggest "crime against nature" in the last, say, 20 years?
I dunno...??

The BP oil spill maybe?

1. What is your favourite natural feature, ie trees, mountains, lakes, whatever?
You can't really have mountains without valleys, and if there's a lake in the valley, that's an added bonus. Here's a ridge I once walked along:

2. What do you think/believe is the most threatened single aspect of nature?
Rather spoilt for choice with this one: probably the big mammals already mentioned, as their habitat is squeezed out by that weird bi-pedal mammal with no fur that you see everywhere these days.
Also, any fish that is unlucky enough to taste good when fried in batter; they are being fished to extinction.

3. Tree-hugger, Stuff the Environment, Shrug or Do What I Can As Long As I Don't Have To Do Much?

Like most of us here, I'm in TH's last category. At least I have improved my packaging/recycling habits compared to how they used to be.

4. What's your favourite tree and why?

This tree is a native of Africa, but it has been successfully introduced to Mexico and can be seen planted along many residential avenues:

Spanish pronunciation: "flam bo yan", google spelling, "Flamboyant" , lexical connection to the adjective "flamboyant" to be sorted out one day, I promise.

(Good call on the Banyan Tree too, jwb)

5. Do you think logging helps or hinders the environment?

My instinctive answer is "hinders", though some sustainable stuff does go on too. Rather hypocritically, the grassy hills in my top photo were deforested during the industrial revolution, and let's face it, all those trees must've really spoilt the view.
So my message to Bolsinaro is uequivocal: Stop doing what we did!

6. What in your opinion is the biggest "crime against nature" in the last, say, 20 years?

After Marie's answer, () I imagine it's the deforestation of the Amazon, or the continued worldwide pumping out of greenhouse gasses

Mountains. That's where you get the moonshine

2. What do you think/believe is the most threatened single aspect of nature?

White People that aren't massively annoying

3. Tree-hugger, Stuff the Environment, Shrug or Do What I Can As Long As I Don't Have To Do Much?

Kill the earth so we're forced to make Star Trek a reality.

4. What's your favourite tree and why?

Whatever tree my guitar is made from... that and oak... I love whiskey

5. Do you think logging helps or hinders the environment?

Kill all the lumberjacks and replace them with sexy female ones.
