I wanted to say TMR because it's so distinctive and it really sets the stage for what you're in for on the record. Jandek's album covers communicate a ghostly loneliness that I love too. Had to give it to Trolling Gristle though.
I looked up Jandek on Wikipedia. I really like the first cover on the discography list. I looked at several of the pictures and I get what you mean.

You could use Jandek as another part of your journal series that you're doing right now. Though it's kind of the opposite since he's something that casual listeners despise but music nerds defend (much like MMM come to think of it).

For me he's one of those artists who I didn't realize had such a big influence on me until much later.

Spoiler for video:

Maybe I'll do something from that perspective as well. That could be interesting, since I'm arguably placed between two chairs. I'm both a music nerd and a pleb

If you do, we should do a collaborative post about Radiohead.

I'd be down with that. If you've got any specific ideas, feel free to let me know.

How can you do a journal entry on how bland but still entertaining Radiohead is? You'd have to be a sad indie queer to even bring any sort of passion to that entry.

Maybe it would help matters that I legitemately find Yorke's voice irritating a lot of the time.
I'm not a fan of Radiohead at all, but I also admittedly don't know their discography that well. It would be good journal fodder in that way.

That helps, but can we all just agree that Radiohead fanboys are probably bland people to begin with? They make some nice music, but nothing to get excited about if you're not the type to get excited by blandness.

You're right. I don't want to listen to that **** anyway.

Let's take this to PM, Michazam. Let me know if you come up with any good contenders.

Allright, let me think about some possible candidates for a while. It has to be something I don't know too well already.
