... there are so many reasons why that is a disgusting thing to say.
pretty sure a transgender teen isn't transgender for the sake of not conforming.
the entire fucking coverage of this was inappropriate as I'm sure it must make this young person uncomfortable to be referred to as "he/him" (though at the same time I try not tomake assumptions about people's preferred pronouns).
I don't even want to see the comments that were likely left by a bunch of repulsive pieces of garbage.
Shame on that DMV and shame on that state for failing its transgender youth.
Ideally, yes. But what I've learned through a lot of heartache and frustration is that you cannot change the world -- you can only change your world. If engaging with others upsets you, I advise simply not engaging.

Well, are girls allowed to wear makeup when they get a DMV picture? Is there some kind of limit to how much makeup can alter your appearance on a license?

Of course women (as defined by the government) are allowed to wear makeup for their drivers' license photo - and there is no limit, obviously (though here in WA I had to take my glasses off for my photo, which is total bullshit).
It's preposterous that a male-to-female transgender person is not allowed to look as they would any other day on their driver's license photo just because some jackass was offended that their license said "male" and they were wearing makeup. People are so ridiculously stupid about gender roles, it makes me sick.

I don't know but it's pretty obvious the teen in question wasn't trying mask her identity with an inaccurate representation of herself. Quite the opposite, really.
