Here's the thing... A guys confidence doesn't JUST come from getting laid obviously, but it's almost impossible for him to be truly confident if he's never gotten laid. It's just something you gotta bite the bullet and get it over with dude.

If your going to suggest human males adhere to some type of alpha/beta hierarychy like other species of mammals its seems like you could find sources easily enough. I could probably help you if you want.

I'm pretty sure coming to my own conclusions isn't a problem with me.
