Where are/were you? Why can't you go home?

Well it only took me 3 barber shops and about 40 dollars, but I finally got a haircut I'm kind of happy with, even if all they did was just shave my head. First place fucks it up, but not badly enough to do any real damage, it just wasn't what I wanted and the girl was pulling way too much on my hair that I decided to just GTFO and have somewhere else finish it. The second place then confuses my request of "not making it look like a military haircut" for "make it look like a military haircut" so I left there looking like a goddamn jarhead. Went to a third place today and just said shave it off please for the love of god, to which they were happy to oblige. The only consolation I got out of the ordeal was that the second place only charged me $6 to fuck up my request instead of $14 so at least that's something.

I've probably got a good 4-5 weeks before I need another haircut, in that time I think I'm going to save up some money and go to a more upmarket place, if that fails me then I think I'll just stick to a shaved head because that is pretty hard to fuck up.

haircuts are expensive. you can buy a good trimmer for about $20.

That's why I only go to black barbers, in the hood.

Yeah, on one hand you might get stabbed; but, you will also get a damn fine haircut. Although my request is normally "make it look like a military haircut". But, a good job regardless, if you don't mind the rap music and jive talk for a few minutes.

Oh man what I wouldn't do for a good black barbershop (preferably run by Ice Cube) in Nevada. However instead we're stuck with big chains like Great Clips, Fantastic Sam's, and Mastercuts. Our ghettos don't even have any neighborhood shops, just other chains like 7-11. Reno is the city of chains, with every neighborhood restaurant or coffee shop moved to some residential street that nobody would even think to look.
