lol... Us in Louisiana don't really make any connection between our team and Katrina at all... We're excited because last year we got our first championship EVER, in the history of the Saints. And now we start this season off with a 2-0... after an entire franchise history of sucking, you can't blame us for finally having something to root for.
As for everyone else in the states, whether they have some Katrina hangup.. that's on them. We've all moved on.

I feel ya man. Buffalo has not had any championships in football or hockey, but when it happens, that town will most likely implode.

Heh.. you should have been here when we won the bowl.. I went outside (and was living in a rural area at the time) and people were shooting guns, screaming, popping fireworks, driving by laying on horns.. It was louder than 4th of July celebrations.

You guys did deserve it. I was getting tired of the Patriots winning anyways. Having not really watched all that much football, I don't really know the Saints' record in football, but maybe you guys will get lucky this year.

I was in Victoria watching the gold medal hockey game this year...and on my drive home after the big win, all you could hear were horns from people's cars and there were tons of people just standing on the road with signs and celebrating..it was a pretty nutty feeling. And I can probably tell you it was like that from the West Coast here, alllllll the way to Coal Harbour Nova Scotia. Coast to Coast celebration.
