A number of months ago I was having big trouble sleeping. It lasted for a long time. I was happy to finally get past it but this is now the third day in the past week that I have tried to get to sleep, failed, and still been awake past the 3am mark.

I am not liking this one little bit.

When do you go to bed, when do you wake up, do you take naps, how much exercise do you get, what do you eat all day, and HOW CONSISTENT ARE YOU WITH ALL OF THIS?

I have learned to answer all these questions the hard way.

Im back to sleeping problems as well, and once again relying on MJ or benzos to sleep, along with a huge bowl of Raisin Bran Crunch to put me out.

Hehe yeah, i know. I've been asked all of these questions before. I've tried to look at all these things individually and improve them. I was seriously averaging about 3 to 4 hours sleep a night for weeks so I was both desperate and willing to try everything. I was making more of an effort to excercise, going out for long walks, eating properly and going to bed at reasonable times and still, even if i was dead to the world all day long, as soon as I got into bed I was wide awake. I dont know how I got past it in the end, but i just started getting back into a routine.

Hopefully that wont happen again anyway, I might just be having a rough week.

Oh, mojo. Still? I'm sorry. I would have known had I been keeping touch. Have you ever tried meditation, or just breathing exercises? I've been losing a lot of sleep lately, too. I'm average 2-3 hours a day for the past couple of weeks. I started reading up about sleep deprivation and am quickly going to try to change my habits because I want my brain to work the way it's suppose to! I noticed I'm beginning to misspell words I usually don't. Or even worse - I don't recognize a word that I use every. Strange business.

I can relate to this. Organic chemistry was the worst ****ing class I ever took. I had to take that thing 3 times before I passed it. I blow at organic chemistry and I try to stay away from it any time I can.

I have fits where it's difficult to sleep. Especially when I stop drinking and smoking for a while... For some reason I have trouble sleeping sober. I find that a tough workout (enough to make your muscles sore) will put you body in a state where it craves excessive amounts of sleep. Also, I drink milk in the evening.

If that doesn't work, I try a full rack of pork ribs slathered in BBQ sauce. If they even have BBQ in the UK... I'm not really sure.

^Hehe are you serious? BBQ sauce? We have BBQ sauce yeah but I have never heard anyone recommend it to aid sleeping.

Well, not necessarily "still", rather "again."

I'm not too bothered just yet as it's only been a few nights this week so as I said, it could just have been a rough few days. If i dont sleep properly tonight, i'm just gonna go for a long walk tomorrow and see if that helps as I haven't had much excercise this week and that could be it. It's just I remember thinking that last time and it made no difference.
