Going off on a tangent doesn't help your argument tbh
And my diet probably is superior to yours How many times a week do you cook for yourself? How many fruits and veggies do you get in your diet? |

How much human flesh do you eat? Those things (humans) are animals too. Do you also support the farming of human creatures so you can eat that high-quality protein? |
Engine, humans are self-aware, the amount of animals that are self-aware could be counted on your fingers and toes. Hence my point about anthropomorphism. Look up the "Mirror Test" if you'd rather read about it from a more erudite source than myself.
Paloma, I wasn't going off on a tangent, you brought up Vegan bodybuilders, I brought up gay NAZIs, as promised, but anyways: Quote:
Anyways, my diet today was: Breakfast: 2 strips of bacon and 4 eggs Pre-Cardio Snack: apple and raisins Cardio workout Lunch: 5 sausage links, 4 eggs, large glass of milk Snack: large glass of milk blended with raspberries Dinner: apples, raisins, banana - whiskey & milk Yesterday it was: Breakfast; milk & apples Lunch: milks, jerky, & string cheese Pre-Cardio snack: pineapple & strawberrys (<---rules) Dinner: crawfish & venison sausage gumbo, sans rice of course Late night: broccoli, cabbage, and mango salsa Which basically summarizes my diet; high protein in the early part of the day, emphasis on carbs before workout & little protein in the late evening. No sugar or grains for me, I do starch sparingly, and my fruit intake - as always - gets stupidly high as my berry patches come in. |

Anyways, my state allows one to make & sell up to 100 gallons (annually) of beer, wine, hard cider, or even distilled liquor without any sort of paperwork. Berrys have high amounts of simple sugar, so I can produce fruit wines and meads with minimal store-bought ingredients. It's not mind blowing, but I get regular costumers for my strawberry mead at the farmers market, my raspberry wine isn't half bad, and it's a fun hobby. (EDIT) Quote:
But, yeah, my diet needs improvement; I do need more veggies, especially leafy greens. |

The Harvard School of Public Health, hardly a source of propaganda, states: Quote:
And a bonus: by eating beans and grains instead of meats you have avoided the cholesterol and saturated fats in animal products, such as bacon and eggs, that can increase health risks. The American Dietetic Association, the largest organization of nutritionists in the U.S., and unlikely to be source of vegetarian propaganda, describes the healthfulness of vegetarian diets in which meat is not a source of protein: Quote:
For example, the American Dietetic Association states in the same article above that vegetarian diets can meet the needs of competitive athletes: "Vegetarian diets that meet energy needs and contain a variety of plant-based protein foods, such as soy products, other legumes, grains, nuts, and seeds can provide adequate protein without the use of special foods or supplements." P.S. Your broccoli, mango, and cabbage salad, and all your delicious berries and fruits sound *very* healthful to me, but OH OH OH! Hip Hop! I worry when I read that you are eating in a single day 2 strips of bacon, 5 sausage links, and 8 eggs!!! Would you please read the following Harvard School of Public Health web page on protein, paying special attention to what they say about red meats and processed meats? http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritio...l#introduction In my earlier post I quoted their health information about why not to eat more than one egg per day. |
