looks kinda like a litho print. I would call it more Postmodernist than pop art- because PopArt usually points towards images in pop culture with an emphasis in irony.

Very geometrical. Odd color palate, too.

Umm... This looks nothing like Basquiat!

The outside images were what I was referring too. I'm rather fond of his work though, so it might have a bit of wishful thinking. :|

I'm no unbiased party here, but in a way I think it kinda resembles his style. But I didn't even think about him when I was drawing it.. it's much less grungy and "dirty" than him. It was more of a general African-American art style in my head.



By the way i am sooooooooo NOT comparing myself to Basquiat.

Oh thanks lol. I'm sorry I just didn't want to take credit for the Basquiat unduly haha. Thanks alot man, It's my first peice so I had to use Paint, Flash and Photobucket ha.

Its quite outrageous how many threads im oblivious to. Nice piece btw, i personally wouldnt say pop art, i think if anything thats quite a derogatory label as pop art on the whole sucks the proverbial
