Now don't get me wrong, I love absurdism. Surrealism is my favorite movement. But Surrealism regardless of what it's critics say, certainly requires talent and untamed imagination as with any great art form.

I think art shouldn't be just a message, there needs to be something else, a narrative, a setting or some kind of emotional connection and it should also be anesthetically pleasing to look at. And really, turning a urinal upside down, randomly slinging paint on a canvas, pissing on a crucifix, pulling a scroll out of your vagina. Those sound like frat boy pranks, not art.

Im a sucker for expressionism i must say. I HATE pointillism and divisionism however, i think it stems from having to do it in 6th form and having my wrist nearly drop off at the end.

Post Impressionism is my favorite style, I really want to learn how to do it properly. I don't care for Rococo, as good as it may be.
