Obviously not, m'dear. It's just brewed in the town of Shiner, Texas.

Hmm, I thought maybe it was a specialty thing. I've only seen it in a certain market here.

A coworker recently went to the UP for the holidays and picked up a bottle of Bell's Wild One Ale for me. Needless to say, I was incredibly grateful and excited. This **** is some of the best beer you can get in the Midwest, bar none. Fermented in wooden barrels by wild yeasts then blended by Bell's brewers to taste to produce a unique product each batch. This **** is darker than your average ale with a bit of a rosy hue and burgundy tone. Vanilla, granny smith apple, smoke, bourbon, and oak notes and the perfect amount of hop flavor comes through at the end.

That is one hell of a score. I was lucky enough to get one in trade about a year back. An excellent beer with all the right notes indeed. The reviews have always been outstanding also, virtually nobody on the net with bad feedback.

Stone Collaborations - Evil Twin / Stillwater / Stone "The Perfect Crime" Black Smoked Saison

Stepping away from Ipa's for a few weeks. The cold weather has me thinking stouts but this Black Saison sounds tempting. Gonna buy a couple of these and finish off with a Vanilla Porter i have aging.

Cost me nearly $10 for the one 650mL bottle and was worth every penny. Can't wait to try the Mokah tomorrow night.

I want to try that Shiner beer. I'm curious.

I had this one recently and I really want another. I cant find a picture of a pint of it but its a dark porter, brewed with fairtrade coffee beans, and is a little chocolatey. It's very dark and I was assuming it would be very thick and heavy but its actually a little lighter than anticipated and goes down very well. Very nice beer from a great local brewery, Mordue.
