Air Force. I have about a year left until I'm out and never have to see Iraq again.

mechanical.

i have a materials science professor who says that eventually everyone will be asked to do consulting work. i dunno, i don't have any problems with it, but i've always been more interested in the design aspect of engineering (partly why i decided not to go into a more focused engineering field like you).

personally i'd love to do work for one of the big three aerospace manufacturers. basically anything they'd let me do, lol.

I'm only fresh out of high school and I just got a job at subway which I thought was a fantastic feat given my zero experience in any thing and the current job climate, but I just got a waaay better job earning twice what I would have got. Working in a big sports retail store.

Over the summer I was working for a medical software company - the most interesting part was developing a prototype program to read in and parse data from very expensive optical instruments (refractors costing tens of thousands of dollars).

I work in a small branding/graphic design studio (10-15 people) as a web designer, focusing mostly on front-end design and Flash animation. Of course that also involves assessing client needs and spec-ing out projects, overseeing projects, presenting projects, coordinating with developers, etc. I do freelance design and html/css development as well, whenever a project comes around.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I'm a professional slacker.....I don't work/go to school. I have my own apartment. I'm getting my first car soon. I pay all of my house bills on my own.

Domestic goddess/Freelance content editor for a few online mags. They happen to all be in genres I hate -- UFOs, mythical monsters, dragons...

I was a spam girl for about a month -- that was fun. Yet soul destroying. Paid well though.
