I always thought it looked like a Red Shirt from Star Trek.

What part of Florida do you come from? Because I spent a little while living in Orlando and as far as "southern hospitality" goes I certainly didn't find the people in central Florida to be very hospitable. Actually, in general I've found "southern hospitality" to be pretty much non-existent. My wife spent about a decade living in the south, in Alabama and North Carolina, and came away with pretty much the same take on it as me.
Oh no not at all, but I dont know you that well. I came from a hick ass town called North Fort Myers. I went to school near Orlando for a while and I agree with you there.

I remember in a "town hall meeting" Bush was having in 2004, and he said something about John Kerry and followed it with "what do you expect from a Senator from Massachusetts." I was pissed.

People are salty here, i don't know what to say. On one hand, its kinda rude. On the other hand its efficent. The thing I love about being up here is no one tries to talk to you, you go in somewhere, and you leave.

"what can I get ya?"
"camel lights."
"that it?"
"yep"
"$4.56...receipt?"
"all set"
"see ya buddy"

That clocks in at 20 seconds.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact we have winter. It makes ya salty. I don't know.

I can completly see why you'd hate them. but they're my people.

As for sports teams, I love going to games, and playing sports, but i never have time to watch any team on TV.
When I first got here, I was waving to everyone I drove by in the neighborhood, and talking to strangers, but I get the style of living now. You explain the way of living here perfect.

Where the hell do you get smokes for $4.56??? They just got jacked up in CT, It's about $7.30 plus tax for a pack as of April 1st.

Flordia isn't really the south. Once you hit the state line you enter a new level of hell.

I miss Somerville. Sometimes I just wish I could go grab a beer at Sligo.
