Its General Sherman because **** you south carolina.

Also, he looks like a grumpy cuss and that fits right?

I'm proud to a fault of being fron New England. I feel to have been born anywhere else would be a lesser standing. Sherman stands for, at least domestically, the spine I wish more New Englanders had.
more like fuck you georgia.

march to the sea much?

I'm from Boston. Do you think I'm arrogant?

What part of Florida do you come from? Because I spent a little while living in Orlando and as far as "southern hospitality" goes I certainly didn't find the people in central Florida to be very hospitable. Actually, in general I've found "southern hospitality" to be pretty much non-existent. My wife spent about a decade living in the south, in Alabama and North Carolina, and came away with pretty much the same take on it as me.

his troops set fires, he fought those fires? i'm not really getting you're point. yeah it was burned down but he didn't mean for it to be burnt down, nor did he play an active role in destroying the city. on the other hand, while in atlanta he invented "sherman's neckties" which were railroad lines that were heated and tied around trees. within three days of him being in georgia, atlanta only had one railroad line still intact.

a cool duder, nevertheless.

I do like the northern scenery though! Rocks and evergreens all day long. And God, how I'm sick/jealous of Boston winning every damn sport.

Do you root for the Boston/ NE teams? You rooting for the Bruins going to the cup this year?

no thats fairly accurate. But its really how you interpert it. The thing that drives me off about Southerners is the exclusionary elements as you move west. Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas.

I remember in a "town hall meeting" Bush was having in 2004, and he said something about John Kerry and followed it with "what do you expect from a Senator from Massachusetts." I was pissed.

People are salty here, i don't know what to say. On one hand, its kinda rude. On the other hand its efficent. The thing I love about being up here is no one tries to talk to you, you go in somewhere, and you leave.

"what can I get ya?"
"camel lights."
"that it?"
"yep"
"$4.56...receipt?"
"all set"
"see ya buddy"

That clocks in at 20 seconds.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact we have winter. It makes ya salty. I don't know.

I can completly see why you'd hate them. but they're my people.

As for sports teams, I love going to games, and playing sports, but i never have time to watch any team on TV.

It's true the style of conversation is saltier and less superficially nice, but as far as how people actually treat each other I've found the south to be roughly as rude as the north. The midwest, on the other hand, now that's a generally nice, friendly part of the country.
