Eh. His later stuff like that isn't that great IMO, kind of wankish, but his stuff from the early 60s is fantastic. One of the really interesting things about Dick Dale's take on it is how middle eastern a lot of his early music sounds because he was very heavily influenced by Lebanese music. Pretty unusual for rock music at that time.
