Default HAPPY Box

As a sort of less popular prozac companion to the Bitch Box.

So, I only have one (easy) final tomorrow, and soon I will be drinking a strawberry milkshake. My lil' bro got too many iTunes cards for his own good, so he's passing some off to me, which means obscure music.

Mods, not sure if this idea is retarded or brilliant. Will leave that up to you.

I really enjoy this time of year in this city. Sunny blue skies, 70s-80s, and since I got a patio table in the fall of last year, I'm finally able to enjoy it and have as many meals outdoors as possible. Even though there's a fence surrounding it and some shrubs and neighboring houses and such, I have a pretty unobstructed view of the sky and it's nice to just sit there. It's a big space more than twice the size of my living room, which is big itself for an apartment. The sun really hits hard in the afternoon, but I have a parasol so it's ok...as long as I'm outside. Gets hot inside with no A/C.

Anyway, I enjoy it...reminds me of living in Europe when I was younger, we'd eat outside as much as possible. I was only able to do that a couple times a year when I lived in Texas. And it was so hot the rest of the year you didn't even really think to do it on the nicer days.

It's nice working/living a few blocks from the lake as well, makes for pleasant lunch break. I worked on my tan a few times last week.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Brilliant.

=)
E3 coverage on G4.
That's what the BF has said everytime I've gone downstairs. Which means, I've practically had an entire day to myself. Loving it.

I managed to get my marking done, and assignment done all in time for work at the library. Now I get the reward of coming on here and reading a magazine...maybe sleeping.

Well let's see. I just moved back to Philadelphia yesterday after having been in California for about eight months. As much as I like the west coast I'm a northeasterner at heart so I'm happy to be back. Last night was a great example of why I'm happy to be here actually. I got home about midnight last night and when I got out of the cab I heard a band playing at my local neighborhood hole-in-the-wall bar so I dropped my bags off at my apartment and went over to the bar to have a drink. It was pretty full, but the place is tiny so it doesn't take many people to fill it up. Watching a band play there is a like watching a band play in someone's living room. Anyway, the music was great, the atmosphere was chill as always, I talked to a couple people from the neighborhood that I hadn't seen since last fall and chatted with some other people I hadn't met before. Nothing crazy, just a very Philly experience, not something that you'd find in San Jose.

Also, I started school today. I graduated from college nine years ago and this is my first foray back into the academic environment since then. I'm honestly pretty stoked about it.

Connecting with a new friend has left me feeling quite weightless in the past few days.

Aw, not reppin' the San Jo for me anymore, huh? Did you at least bring back some Viet slaves with ya? I, too, love good live local music in small spaces. That's really cool that you're starting school again. What's it gonna be this time?

It's just a web design certificate program but it's pretty extensive, about a year long. I already have a degree in graphic design so this is just sort of augmenting it. I'm pretty exited about it though.

Oh and the slaves are on their way. I shipped them UPS ground before I left so they should be here in the next few days.

Awesome. I love to learn, too and love it even more when I hear about others feeling the same way.

Crack that whip. Just so you know, the Vietnamese were built to survive off of a grain of rice a day. AND our favorite ice cream flavor is Gookies 'n Cream.

Edit: Really? I'm Vietnamese and I can't say 'Gook'?
