Oasis are great, but they're just kind of two-dimensional power pop. I love playing Definitely Maybe back to front, but I also don't feel like I've listened to anything of much consequence. Blur on the other hand just know how to draw you in with deceptively clever lyrics and music with actual depth.

Yeah. Here in Cali every jock-douche at my school loved those guys. Every party I went to I was subjected to Champagne Supernova at least once. I broke some dudes tape by slamming it into the ground at my friends party once and a melee ensued. I always thought they were just a Beatles tribute band with no talent of their own.

They were big over here too. I remember my class trip back from a retreat where we were all on the bus, someone had a guitar and we all sang Wonderwall to define our last moment together as seniors.
