Why Are Women So Attracted To Musicians?

my girl left me for some singer-songwriter douchebag. I'm a musician too but this guy actually gets paid for his music

I hate that guy so much, it pisses me off. This cant be life

Freebase Dali 05-28-2010 08:56 PM

That sucks.
Is it strictly the money or the fact that his music generates money?

thomasracer56 05-28-2010 09:18 PM

oh no.... i guess musicians seem to a simpler about them. i don't know. i can't explain but i CAN say that's too much bad luck, sucks.

He's a douche, he'll drive her off soon enough.

Do yourself a favor though, cut off contact with her.

TheCunningStunt 05-29-2010 09:07 AM

Hm, maybe the musician thing had nothing to do with it. Maybe she liked his personality and thought the grass is always greener...

I hope some day she will get Chlamydia and realise she was wrong. Chin up :D

bogey, I can understand you feeling angry because it is a blow to feel you weren't wanted as much as someone else was...and maybe it makes you think your music wasn't as good as his (?), and makes you question your judgement in picking people to be with.

However, would you want someone to stay with you (her second choice) if she really wanted to be with someone else? I think that given how she felt, the best thing she could do was to leave so that you didn't spend more of your life with someone who wasn't willing or able to devote herself to you.

I know of a couple who have 2 teenage children, and suddenly out of the blue the woman tells the husband, "I don't think I ever loved you," so they get divorced and she marries someone she met at work. Now THAT is bad. If she had left early on, it may have been much better for the man...though once there are kids, most parents never wish to negate them.

Of course, it would have been nicer if you had met someone who wanted to be with *you*...and so that's sad, bogey, that this didn't happen this time around. This *is* how life is, unfortunately.

I'd be more religious if prayers and things were in this direction.

"Dear Father, please bless me in my virtuous drive toward peace and away from anger, and also give that heinous cunt the clap like a mother****er. Amen."

If she gets the clap now, I'd like to think it's because of that beautiful prayer.

Best thing you can do is remain indifferent, and hopefully just run into another chance for love.

mr dave 05-31-2010 06:22 PM

rather than play Dr. Phil for someone who doesn't give nearly enough details to do anything besides caress a bruised ego so here's an answer to the actual title question...

why are women so attracted to musicians? apparently it's because you can tell how a person is in bed by how they perform their music.

glastonelle 05-31-2010 08:53 PM

I'm a girl and I find musicians very very hot. I'm not quite sure why... maybe they just seem deeper if they write lyrics or something.

I am sorry about your girlfriend though, she sounds like a bit of a prick.

hissundaygirl09. 06-01-2010 12:15 PM

they want the attention im guessing??

savannah 06-01-2010 12:26 PM

as someone who dates almost exclusively musicians or those who have something to do with the music industry,...i think it doesnt have anything to do money, but that they express themselves better

as for your dilemma, move on, if she didnt want to be with you, she's not worth you being upset

relationships should be ridden out for however long they are productive for both people, when they cease to become productive everyone should just enjoy it for what it was and keep on moving, no matter what direction that is

James 06-01-2010 02:43 PM

It works both ways, I'm a man and i'm attracted to musical people more also.

I think that's because not a lot of girls play an instrument, so when one does it's like woah! I like music. What're you into?!

I once had that with a girl, she liked YM@6 and Mayday Parade. FML.

And plus

The only remotely good band my female friends like is The Flaming Lips. So when someone who does like something good comes along i'm like WHOA! Like I fancied this girl for a while on the whole basis that she told me I had good music taste.

I love girls that compliment my music taste, instantly they get my interest. Sometimes though if I like a girl even though their taste is shit I'll still find common ground, even if their favourite band is something like Coldplay, just because I know it I tend to be like oooh Coldplay! I have them on my iTunes!

I'd love a musician as a girlfriend, imagine having a relationship where you can both sit together and play guitar? and maybe even write stuff together.

James 06-01-2010 02:54 PM

^Would be awesome.

James 06-01-2010 02:57 PM

I actually saw a girl in a Mogwai shirt in H&M. I said "Nice shirt Mogwai are a great band" and she she BLANKED ME *Cries*.

Haha, same thing happened to me except the girl was a fat ugly mess, I was just trying to be friendly. If I was attracted to her it would've stung a bit. I just thought "ignorant cow."

James 06-01-2010 03:00 PM

She was hot too.

True dat I also have the habit of snooping on a girls ipod whenever I walk past, Once a girl was listening to The Village Green Preservation Society!

TheCunningStunt 06-01-2010 03:07 PM

If you manage that without getting caught then you should consider being a sex offender, it's a true skill. How could you tell the album from an iPod? how do you know she wasn't just listening to a song from that album?

James 06-01-2010 03:11 PM

Over the shoulder spying FTW. I have good eyesight.

Necromancer 06-01-2010 03:21 PM

Because musicians have BIG PECKERS! :yikes:xoxoxo:love:

Just screw her sister/best friend & get it out of your system rather than making sweeping generalisations out of one bad experience.

Or both! If you really wanna stick it to her

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-01-2010 04:06 PM

He can do her mother if he wants to do that.

Or her Dad

Maybe she dissed you because she reads minds.

No no...I don't think that would work. Obviously, the woman didn't want to be with the guy, since she left him...so she'd just be relieved that he's sticking someone else, as long as it isn't her!

Maybe! Although I was nice enough to compliment her t-shirt and I didn't think she was ignorant until after that.. But she was a bit of a mingah.

A mingah! Is that the same as (consults urban dictionary) a scally?

Hmm, maybe she was just embarrassed. Usually when people compliment a T-shirt, they aren't looking at the sleeves...

Mingah = minger. Not the same as a chav or scally.

Somebody who is minging = someone really unattractive.

True, but I just walked past and caught the image of Kurt Cobain in the side of my eye. But I think if girls think boys who notice their clothes are only looking at one thing are either retarded or full of themselves.

Maybe she thought you were checking her out or something? In an offensive way..? Or yes, she could just be a bit of a mingah.

And there is nothing wrong with Coldplay, dude.

Like I said, if girls think because you notice what they're wearing means you're checking them out they are big headed ignorant flids. She was too ugly to be big headed

I just think she was an ignorant knob.

And hmm, I'll take your word for it. ;)

I see where your coming from, but you didnt do something really tacky like lick your lips or nodd approvingly, did you? Cause as nice as you are appreciating her tshirt, doing something like that is never cool. Just no.

And I will pretend that your not being sarcastic and go on to say that you should be grateful they like Coldplay and not Justin Bieber ;)

No, we've established she's a fat minger. The last thing I would've wanted is her taking a liking to me, just a friendly smile and compliment. Ignorant cow.

I should grateful who like Coldplay?!
