Would you rather be the opposite gender?
I know I have a rep for asking weird and creepy questions and they usually spawn out of discussions I have with people. But yeah, pretty straightforward question. Are you satisfied being the gender that you are or do you often wish you were the opposite sex? And if so why?
I can't really answer this question myself, I'm not into a lot of guy stuff like sports and hanging out with other guys and what not, and I find dudes to be pretty disgusting in general and sometimes I do think being a chick would be cooler and more suitable to my personality. Not a tranny or anything, I know I'm setting myself up for ridicule but that ain't nothing new. EDIT: Also, this question has two different meanings. One is are you satisfied with the social life that comes with your gender and two is are you comfortable with the body of your gender. If possible try to answer both questions. |
I get to wee standing up. That pleases me.

Yes.
I love being a girl, I love having tits and a vajayjay, being able to look good in dresses, having a nice pair of hips.....everything that comes along with being female, even the nasty stuff although shaving my legs can be obnoxious I don't think being a dude would be as much fun, plus dudes have balls...I hate balls |
I think being an attractive girl would be pretty rad, quite honestly.
But yes, I am satisfied being a male. |

I wouldn't mind having tits so I can get served in bars quicker.
Other than that I'm perfectly happy being what I am, and I don't really drink much now anyway. |
On the flipside I love wanking off, and masturbating seems it would be more fustrating if I were a broad.
Still I already do a lot of unmanly things, I always pee sitting down. |

What?! Why an earth would any man do this? I can understand the sit down piss at night, when you just can't be arsed to stand.. but ALWAYS? |
I peed sitting down once, and felt unbelievably stupid. I stopped pissing, stood up, and repressed the memory until now.

(worst typo ever) but I'm quite sure I don't have balls, according to my weeping uterus |

I'm more of a "meh".
Wouldn't like being a guy. But being a female sure has its problems. So "Whatever" is the answer for now. |

I have a very submissive nature and physical posture, and with my body type it tends to look pretty strange. However I could not stand having a period every month. What a pain in the ass (among other things).

Women seem to put so much time into their appearance. I dont think its a bad thing to spend SOME time on your appearance as a male but women definitely seem to take it farther than i could ever be bothered with. They shave their legs, their pits, they pluck their eyebrows, they wax, they spend an absolute age doing all kinds of things with the hair on their head, they do their make up. Even the nails become something in need of up-keep. And then theres all that shopping. I dont know a man who can go into a shop looking for a shirt or jeans then go to 25 other shops over the next 5 or 6 hours before making their mind up but ive been dragged out on many of these wonderfully fun days out in my time. I dont know how they have the energy or the patience. You're welcome to keep all of that ladies. Im fine.
Im happy being a bloke. The only gripe I have is my gender is also represented by a lot of absolute wankers whom I will make sure I am never associated with as long as i live. I know the same can be said with women, its not an issue with gender but rather human beings in general but I am quietly confident that if it were possible to measure this, over 50% of the people I have ever met and disliked would be male. |

On topic, I am really glad I'm a guy. I think the worst part of being a girl would be getting ready in the morning, because alot of girls have to put on a ****load of makeup in the morning, and do their hair just right, or else they get made fun of. All I have to do in the morning is take a shower, dry off, get dressed and put on deoderant. Then I'm good to go. Plus having a **** is epic, and I just don't think having a vag would give me the same confidence. Oh, and shaving would be brutal, because I'm insanely hairy and insanely lazy :).

If I were a girl with the personality and attitude I have today, I'd be a tomboy.
Plus girl sports suck. There are plenty of pros and cons so Not Sure. |
I said yes. On one hand it would be pretty cool to experience all the attention I would get as a hot girl. Any positives I can come up with, though, seems completely outshined by the fact that girls are ****ing gorgeous and I love looking at them, not to mention have sex with them. I wouldn't give that up for anything. I feel really sorry that girls are stuck with us guys because I think we all look nasty. If I was a girl I'd probably be a lesbian. So anyways, I'll stick with being a guy.
Interesting aside...guys, if you ever want to experience what hot girls must feel like when walking into a bar, just go to a hooker bar. Being a white guy in Asia, I was like a rock star going into those places. Changed my whole perspective on things. Just to get this out of the way, I have never hired a hooker. |
I'm a guy who's into guys. So, yes, I'd say I like being a male. I love the physique, I love having a dick, I love my body hair, I love having a beard, I love not being in pain every month and leaking blood. Having tits seems like a drag, I don't want to bear children (and don't understand why women would want to make their body go through something as traumatic).
On the other hand, I don't like 99% of the (straight) guys I've met. I despise machismo which seems inextricable with being a "proper" man (in Croatia), I don't really share their passion for sports, suppressing emotions (unless it's aggression), I don't want to be dominant etc etc. In short, mentally I feel closer to women...just don't want to be one. So, best of both worlds I'd say. Edit: And yes, I pee sitting down. I don't see any benefit from doing it standing up...unless you're in the woods or something. |
If I was a hot chick that would be cool, I just find the male anatomy to be rather repulsive especially as it ages.
So that being said, if I was a chick I'd be a straight up lesbo. And also people make legit points, being a woman certainly has it's hardships, the big one of course is pregnancy. I'd say both sexes have their pros and cons though. It's certainly wrong to say one is objectively superior to another. But I do tend to admire and relate with women more overall. Quote:

They do more often then dudes anyway. There's more hot chicks in their 40s than there are hot dudes in their 40s, actually there's more hot chicks than there are hot dudes in general. I think even gay men are aware of this.

so the entirety of gender satisfaction revolves around urination and masturbation?
... depth. really though, i don't see satisfaction on either side of the gender debate. the 'hotness' angle is at best relative, though mostly dumb. women crap on themselves because they're women and they've been raised and repressed for so long they still don't know how to balance themselves on their own two feet properly. men acted on instinct rather than thought for too long and have a hard time letting the brain think rather than allowing the body to act. we have old people telling us we should respect the differences, other generations refusing to acknowledge there even are differences, and now a youth that seems to try to eliminate the differences by taking on each others instead. myself, i'm just sick and tired of being made to feel like i should apologize for having a penis. males and females ARE different, but we ARE both still human. i think both the similarities AND differences need to be recognized and respected on both sides of the gender spectrum. we're not asexual hermaphrodites for a reason - though i'm sure some people would prefer it that way. |
I agree with most of what you said. I've ranted about this before regarding phony radical feminists and how they seem to be ashamed of their distinctions from men rather than proud of them.
Also, unlike you I treat this sh*t lightly so I don't want it to be taken too seriously. |

Being male is a right time-saver, I love it. |
Also I've played football competitively since I was about 10. I can't imagine not playing football at all, I mean I know girls do play but I've played in amateur leagues and other things that don't seem to really exist for girls. Another reason I'm happy to be a guy.

I admire womens empathetic qualities and the fact that they can wake up precisely one minute before their baby starts crying in the night never fails to astound me but they do spend far too long on their appearance and guess what? It's not so the male can admire , it's so they can make other women jealous. If you observe women carefully (my last job I was a manger with a 90% female workforce) you notice that they constantly give other women sly dirty looks and bitch about other women constantly which I have never understood.
However men can be incredibly insensitive and boorish but we are wired differently and take a practical approach to things generally instead of an emotional approach so there are pluses and minuses all around and all told I'm perfectly happy with being male and sitting to pee? That's just wrong. There is nothing quite like pissing in a shop door way when you are three sheets to the wind! |
I'm surprised that Vanilla went with the "no" option. O_o
Whyyyyyy? |

Saying that, being a girl is pretty awesome. You just get used to the whole having to shave all over the place, Aunt Irma's visits and all that crap, as a girl you don't really think about it much. And having boobs is always an advantage in bars or when you need something moved and can't be bothered to break into a sweat doing it yourself... ;) |
