I'm going to cut out junk food for lent for 40 days so might end up losing a bit of weight and that would be brilliant. Currently trying to find work so hopefully I'll come across a neat opportunity. Might also start playing soccer too. I have surrounded myself with plants and herbs because I am the crazy cat and garden lady.
That is the worst. Wake up sweating like a pig.

Would strongly recommend playing soccer. Very physically demanding, relatively low risk of injury and all you need is a ball. Good opportunity to make friends also.

Hope you feel better soon

Today I saw a Brit refer to football as soccer.

Nothing wrong with referring to it as soccer. I a bit when Brits get arsey over it.

Awww thanks hun very sweet of you. I definitely think I'll have a go at soccer because I used to be good at it when I was young. My fitness is balls up right now so might be good. I do have to be careful I don't then flare my chronic pain up.

Well, technically I'm Kiwi but part of the commonwealth. We genuinely call it soccer here. The footy here is rugby. I blame American television.

Anybody had a family member die or get seriously ill and feel guilty because you didn't feel much emotion or grief?

I've never seen much reason to feel emotion or grief especially if you had a good life with that person. The only reason you should feel guilty is if you did something bad to them and you never got to apologize for it.

I barely cried at my grandmother's funeral, I don't thoroughly like any of my "friends" (aside from one), and I love being alone but hate feeling lonely.

yea.

well, actually i didn't feel that guilty about it if i'm being honest. i felt like my reaction was appropriate. but then when i saw how others reacted i just felt sort of like a robot or something. honestly the weirdest thing was having people call me all day to offer their consolation and me feeling the need to entertain this formality while secretly feeling more like i was consoling them for feeling bad than vice versa. honestly when something bad happens there's nothing less helpful to me than being forced to dwell on it all day in random conversations with different people.
