Nice, iDEN is the only network technology that let's you chirp for free. You can use "Push-To-Talk" on most other carriers, but they charge extra. And Boost Mobile's plans are impossible to beat. If you stay with them for 18 months, you can get unlimited talk/text/web for $35/mo.

Then it ventures into the whole idea that Steve Jobs doesn't want to allow flash on iPhones
That's the main reason most people dislike iPhones. I agree, it should use Flash. Jobs views Flash as a dying/obsolete technology, and prefers H.264 and HTML5. But why not incorporate it anyway, just to cover all your bases. It really stems back to how crappy Flash used to run on the Mac OS. Apple blamed the glitches on Macromedia (who was later acquired by Adobe), and Macromedia blamed them on Apple. It's really just two sides refusing to back down.

On a side note, all of the WebKit browsers (including Safari on the iPhone) are going to start incorporating "Walaby," which will automatically convert most flash files into HTML5, thus letting it be displayed on your iPhone.

I bought a zune and I'm happy with their zune pass.
I've had 2 Zunes (80GB and 120GB) and I absolutely loved them both. I didn't care much for the software to load them (Zune Marketplace or w/e it's called), but the hardware was amazing. I loved that little 'squirkle' track pad. And the ability to wirelessly transfer content between Zunes that were near each other was awesome. I never subscribed to the Zune pass, but I am curious about it. I know it's $15/mo for unlimited downloading, but do you lose your downloaded songs if you fail to renew your Zune pass, or do you always own the content?

Yeah, I'm working on that plan at the moment. In about two months or so my bill should be down to 45 instead of the 50 that it is at right now.

You don't lose all of the downloaded songs because they are still in your collection but you lose the right to play them until you renew your Zune pass but what they do now is they give you 10 free songs each month. Those 10 free songs you can keep for whenever you stop paying for the pass.

I liked that it has a radio and the ability to transfer content wirelessly as well

An FM tuner would be awesome in the iPhone. There's also talk of implementing IR controls and NFC (Near Field Communication) into it, allowing you to simply wave your iPhone over a sensor to pay. They call it the "iWallet."

I hear that Microsoft has stopped working on zune devices and they are throwing their development behind Windows 7 phones.

What is your opinion on those?

I haven't done much research on them. I just know that they use the zune software and can access your account.

Very true. Microsoft has stopped manufacturing Zune hardware. They're putting the bulk of their attention towards Windows Phone 7. I personally like the new OS. It incorporates Zune as it's media player, it has Windows Marketplace to buy apps, a great web browser, and it has Netflix (which is only available on WP7 and iOS). Screw Android. It can also wirelessly sync your contacts, bookmarks, favorites, etc, from your PC.

Windows Phone 7 is just one type? I thought there were different models of it.

If there are which one do you recommend?

Windows Phone 7 is the operating system (the software). It's pretty tight. As far as the hardware goes, it depends on your carrier. For AT&T, the HTC Surround is pretty sweet. For Sprint, the HTC Arrive is the one to go with, and T-Mobile has the HTC HD7.

oh yes duh me of course it's the OS.

I will probably go with the HTC Arrive. I have had good experience with Sprint in the past.

I use a Samsung Gravity. It's just a standard talk/text phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

I'm testing a Sony Xperia X1 from a friend right now.
If I like it, I can buy it. It's working fine, except for the internet which is really slow.
Can't see why...

Got some screenshots here:
